“Vistara Mumbai-Frankfurt Flight Diverted to Turkey After Bomb Threat Alert”
Vistara today said that it has arranged another aircraft to take the passengers of its Mumbai-Frankfurt flight to Frankfurt after their flight was forced to land at Erzurum Airport inTurkey.

“Vistara Mumbai-Frankfurt Flight: The Mumbai-headquartered full service carrier, Vistara today said that it has arranged another aircraft to take the passengers of its Mumbai-Frankfurt flight to Frankfurt after their flight was forced to land at Erzurum Airport in Turkey due to some bomb threat on Friday.
It is hoped that the substitute aircraft will reach the Turkey airport by 12. Due at 25 local time and all passengers departing for Frankfurt by 14. 30 hours (Local time), Vistara said in an statement of X.
Flight UK27 had to make a precautionary landing at the destination airport: Erzurum Airport at 7-05 IST. All the passengers and the attendees of the cabin crew had been evacuated safely.

Some of the cabin crew, one specifically, came across handwritten terror threats in one of the lavatories and informed about security risk on the flight.
The authorities were alerted immediately and security agencies had a comprehensive compulsory check of the aircraft, the Vistara spokesperson said.
Earlier in July another Air India flight AI–17 that flies between New Delhi and San Francisco was redirected from Krasnoyarsk International Airport (UNKL), Russia due to a technical hitch. The plane had to make an emergency landing when the members of the cockpit suspected that a problem was about to develop in the area of the cargo hold.

All passengers including 225 people and the flight crew of 19 people got off the aircraft and were transferred to the terminal for further arrangement.
In June 2024, Akasa Air’s Mumbai-bound flight that originated from Delhi had to land at Ahmedabad airport after a security threat. The captain of the flight adhered to all the emergency drills and successfully evacuated into Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport safely. At the time of occurrence the aircraft carried 186 passengers including one infant and six crew members.
