Anushka Sharma’s Monotrophic Diet: It is quite strange for many, especially since people always want to have the chance to taste different meals in several days. However, some people support this type of meal plan, call it Monotrophic or Mono diet.
This diet entails the person eating a single kind of food or a few food items of similar category for a long duration of time at a given time of the day.
Anushka Sharma, who herself is a fitness freak and maintains her diet and exercise routine quite strictly often uses this method to keep herself fit and healthy.
Recall the incident in the year 2023 when Anushka was in a event for her brand Slurrp Farm somebody asked her could she eat the same food for weeks.

The actress reacted, saying, “That’s not a difficult thing for me because I do eat the same thing almost every day sometimes. Especially, when I am filming a movie. I eat the same thing. So, there have been times when I have had khichdi and baingan bhaja for a month straight for dinner. That’s all I have eaten. Or idli sambar for breakfast for 6 months straight.”
Although the actress is fully committed to this type of diet there have been concerns whether it is healthy or whether her meals are appropriate. In order to do this, Dr Pal Manickam, a gastroenterologist explained in a video showing how this can be useful in maintaining one’s good health.
Referring to Anushka’s meal plan, Dr Pal in his recent Instagram post stated, “It is an effective tool for fat loss. It is simple, convenient, and most importantly, you can be consistent in your portion size. Also, it reduces decision fatigue and prevents you from the impulsiveness to eat more.”

The expert also explained that should one intend to embark on a monotrophic diet then all the macronutrients should be included in the meal like carbohydrates, proteins, and fat.
Besides, referring to how Anushka was eating Idli Sambar long time ago, the slide shows why exactly this dish is rather healthy.
Dr Pal explained, “The fermentation in the idli and the lentil in the sambar has given her good gut bacteria that stimulated her gut skin axis so that all the absorption of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants has happened beautifully.” He then states this goes a long way towards offering radiant skin.
