US Embassy in Qatar Issues “Shelter in Place” Alert to Americans via Urgent Email

They have urged American citizens to remain in their accommodation until further notice due to caution, according to the US Embassy in Qatar.

US Embassy in Qatar Issues “Shelter in Place” Alert to Americans via Urgent Email

The US Embassy in Qatar has advised American citizens in Qatar to stay indoors until further notice. The alert was sent in an email to Americans.

The embassy statement said the advice was made "out of an abundance of caution" and did not provide more details.

The timing of this warning comes as US alerted its citizens in major cities like New York City of "heightened threat".

US President Donald Trump publicly stated on Sunday that he may have to discuss changing the Iranian government although top people in his administration had said in interviews that they were not talking about changing the Iranian regime.

"It’s not politically correct to use the term, “Regime Change,” but if the current Iranian Regime is unable to MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN, why wouldn’t there be a Regime change??? MIGA!!!" Trump posted on Truth Social.

The post came after US Vice President JD Vance stated on NBC's Meet the Press that "We're not at war with Iran." Just the day before US Secretary of State Marco Rubio gave clarification over the US strikes, stating that they “were not a regime change move."

At the same time, Tehran warned it will retaliate, which it has already done to US airstrikes on its three nuclear facilities. Tehran also persisted that it will attack Israel, but Israel Defense Forces (IDF) shot down the one ballistic missile it fired on its one attack on Sunday and Monday.

24 killed in Israel, thousands injured

At the same time, health officials and hospitals reported that 24 people in Israel were confirmed to have been killed and thousands were wounded because fired missiles, as reported the Times of Israel.

In addition, although Israel has air defenses, some missiles made their target, significantly damaging some hospitals, universities and residential complexes.
