Israeli Strikes Target Iran’s Evin Prison and Government Sites Near Tehran
Evin prison has a reputation for housing dual nationals and Western detainees often used as poker chips in negotiations with the West.

On Monday, Iran experienced a number of new and heavier Israeli airstrikes near the capital, Tehran, just before midday. During one of those attacks, the gate of Evin prison was reportedly struck, the notorious prison which holds dual nationals and Western prisoners that are frequently used as leverage against the West, according to Iranian state TV.
