UPSC Topper Shakti Dubey’s Parents Say ‘We Had No Role to Play’, Credit Her Hard Work

Shakti Dubey, a biochemistry graduate from University of Allahabad, achieved the first rank in the UPSC civil services exam of the year 2024. On April 22, the date of result declaration, her parents from Prayagraj spoke to the media about their daughter's success story. "I am very happy. She has been able to achieve this because of the blessings of Mahadev. We had no role to play. She studied day and night," her mother Prema Dubey told news agency ANI.

Devendra Kumar Dubey, father of Shakti and a police department employee, claimed that they never encouraged her to study because she was very self-motivated from the beginning.
