Pahalgam Terror Attack: Amit Shah Vows Harshest Consequences for Perpetrators
Condemning the terror attack, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha also vowed to punish those behind the despicable assault.

Pahalgam Terror Attack: Amit Shah, Union home minister, Tuesday threatened strict action against the accused who attacked Pahalgam for removing an assault on 12 tourists. Shah gave a promise of burning any stone for those who burnt people's treasuries so that the tour would be disrupted. He would be heading to Srinagar soon to meet agencies for an urgent review of security, he mentioned.
"Anguished by the terror attack on tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. My thoughts are with the family members of the deceased. Those involved in this dastardly act of terror will not be spared, and we will come down heavily on the perpetrators with the harshest consequences," he wrote on X.
Amit Shah said he held a meeting through video conferencing Prime Minister Narendra Modi, currently on a tour in Saudi Arabia.
"Briefed PM Narendra Modi about the incident and held a meeting with the concerned officials via video conferencing. Will shortly leave for Srinagar to hold an urgent security review meeting with all the agencies," he added.
Reports suggest that PM Modi asked Amit Shah the "government to take possible measures to handle the situation at the earliest". He also directed his men to visit the place.
Many feasible options may be considered for the purposes mentioned above.
At 3 PM, Terrorists came down from the mountain peak, joining all sites in Pahalgam, Baisaran Valley and were shooting with gunfire into tourists.

Omar Abdullah condemns Jammu and Kashmir terror attack
Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah called the perpetrators of today's attack "animals".
"I’m shocked beyond belief. This attack on our visitors is an abomination. The perpetrators of this attack are animals, inhuman and worthy of contempt. No words of condemnation are enough. I send my sympathies to the families of the deceased," CM Abdullah said.
The authorities in Jammu and Kashmir initiated an air rescue for the injured from an inaccessible meadow using ponies for hundreds more.
On a high and extensive scale, anti-terror operations have begun to launch such killer terrors for furrows .
"I strongly condemn the cowardly terror attack on tourists in Pahalgam. I assure the people that those behind this despicable attack will not go unpunished," the LG said in a post on X.
