Pahalgam Terror Attack: Amit Shah Vows Harshest Consequences for Perpetrators

Pahalgam Terror Attack: Amit Shah, Union home minister, Tuesday threatened strict action against the accused who attacked Pahalgam for removing an assault on 12 tourists. Shah gave a promise of burning any stone for those who burnt people's treasuries so that the tour would be disrupted. He would be heading to Srinagar soon to meet agencies for an urgent review of security, he mentioned.

"Anguished by the terror attack on tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. My thoughts are with the family members of the deceased. Those involved in this dastardly act of terror will not be spared, and we will come down heavily on the perpetrators with the harshest consequences," he wrote on X.

Amit Shah said he held a meeting through video conferencing Prime Minister Narendra Modi, currently on a tour in Saudi Arabia.

"Briefed PM Narendra Modi about the incident and held a meeting with the concerned officials via video conferencing. Will shortly leave for Srinagar to hold an urgent security review meeting with all the agencies," he added.

Reports suggest that PM Modi asked Amit Shah the "government to take possible measures to handle the situation at the earliest". He also directed his men to visit the place.

Many feasible options may be considered for the purposes mentioned above.

At 3 PM, Terrorists came down from the mountain peak, joining all sites in Pahalgam, Baisaran Valley and were shooting with gunfire into tourists.
