TMC Alleges Female MPs Assaulted by BJP Leaders Kiren Rijiju, Ravneet Bittu
Kiren Rijiju, Union parliamentary affairs minister lambasted the opposition over the ongoing din in the House and said the more they make a ruckus the greater will the people and people reject them.

The Trinamool Congress (TMC) on Wednesday accused BJP leaders Kiren Rijiju and Ravneet Singh Bittu of assaulting its female MPs in the Lok Sabha as raucous scenes were witnessed in the House when Amit Shah tabled three bills introducing changes that could see key leaders like PM and chief ministers removed in case they get jailed to 30 continuous days.
TMC leaders Mitali Bag and Satabdi Roy made claims of being pushed and heckled.

The Lok Sabha erupted in ruckus on Wednesday as Amit Shah tabled the above mentioned bills and the opposition led by Shashi Tharoor and Congress leader Mallikarjun took a strong exception to the proposed legislations terming the bills as a draconian legislation.
These three bills are, The Constitution ( 130 th Amendment Bill), The Jammu & Kashmir Reorganization ( Amendment) Bill and The Government of Union Territories ( Amendment) Bill.
The bills prescribe a novel legal regime which will apply to ministers and CMs in states and Union territories, including Jammu and Kashmir, and Union ministers and the PM at the Centre as HT had earlier reported.
In the ruckus that ensued in Lok Sabha, adjourning proceedings to 5 pm, the opposition leaders tore and tossed at Amit Shah the copies of the bills, reports said.

With the Opposition members offering a to-string critique of the introduction, with Asaduddin Owaisi (AIMIM) and Manish Tewari (Congress) and K C Venugopal demanding that the proposed law violated the Constitution and the federalism principle, as the Opposition members spoke on the issue, saying the bills were introduced in a hurry, Shah issued a rebuttal.
The bills were referred to the Joint Committee of Parliament where Amit Shah stated that, members on both sides of the House, including those in the government as well as the Opposition, would be allowed to submit their suggestions.
"Creating disruption only harms the opposition, especially the new MPs. The more chaos you create, the more the public will completely reject you. Once again, I urge you all to participate in the discussion," Rijiju said.
Speaking in the Lok Sabha, Rijiju said, "Since the monsoon session began, these people (Opposition) have been continuously shouting slogans. For the past three days, it has been decided to honour Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, but it is very unfortunate that the hero of our country--who travelled to space and hoisted the Indian flag--was not even given the opportunity to be honoured because of the actions of the opposition. This is truly shameful."
