‘Those Behind the Scenes…’: Rajnath Singh Warns Pahalgam Conspirators of Swift and Stern Response
Rajnath Singh today reviewed the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir in the aftermath of the terror attack in Pahalgam.

‘Those Behind the Scenes…’: Defence minister Rajnath Singh has come out with a nine-day notice to the perpetrators of the Pahalgam terror attack and the "actors behind the scenes" that they will soon receive a loud and clear response from India.
The minister, just a day after the terrorists shot down nearly 26 persons, mostly tourists, in an ambush near Pahalgam town, said that India would reach those who had masterminded the attack-as well as those who conducted it.
"Yesterday, in Pahalgam, targeting a particular religion, terrorists executed a cowardly act, in which we lost many innocent lives... I want to assure the countrymen that the government will take every necessary step. We will not only reach the perpetrators of this act but also the actors behind the scenes... The accused will soon see a loud and clear response, I want to assure the country," said Singh.
Today, Rajnath Singh reviewed the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir.

Sources stated that the meeting went on for about two and a half hours and attended also by NSA Ajit Doval, Chief of Defence Staff Gen Anil Chauhan, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi and Air Chief Marshal AK Singh.
In the meeting, Army Chief Gen Dwivedi gave a detailed briefing on the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir along with the deployment of his forces.
The Prime Minister, who was on a tour of Saudi Arabia during the said attack, condemned the act and promised to bring those behind this "heinous act" to justice.
He later curtailed his visit and returned to Delhi this morning. He later met NSA Dobal, external affairs minister S Jaishankar and foreign secretary Vikram Misri.
Many countries, US among them, condemned the attack. US President Donald Trump spoke with PM Modi on Tuesday night and assured his support.
