Sonu Sood, Salman Khan Step In as Celebrities, Politician Offer Help to Rajpal Yadav in Cheque Bounce Case
Yadav also made an emotional confession, before his surrender, declaring that he was experiencing a financial crunch and needed no one to call upon to assist him.
A number of Bollywood actors, celebrities and politicians have come out to extend their support to the aid of this Rajpal Yadav who is detained in Tihar jail in relation to cheque-bounced cases.
Salman Khan, Sonu Sood and Gurmeet Chaudhary, actors, as well as the politician Tej Pratap Yadav, also declared their assistance a few days after the comedian had turned himself in to the Tihar jail officials after he confessed to cheque-bouncing in a 9 crore case. The case is associated with financial debts due to the box office failure of the directorial debut of Yadav in the year 2010.

The Delhi High Court has previously denied the extension of time allocated to Yadav to turn up to jail officials.
Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma had turned away the application of Yadav who wanted the court to allow him time to surrender as there was no basis to give him the relief. Yadav also made an emotional confession, before his surrender, declaring that he was experiencing a financial crunch and needed no one to call upon to assist him.
But since his turn himself in to the police officials, all hands have come out in support with the actors, musicians and even politicians coming to his rescue by chipping in to provide him with the necessary financial help. Some of the people that have come out publicly to show support to the actor include:
Sonu Sood
In a post on social media platform X, Sood said, “Rajpal Yadav is a gifted actor who has given years of unforgettable work to our industry. Sometimes life turns unfair, not because of talent, but because timing can be brutal.” The film was offered to Yadav by actor Sonu Sood, and an amount to sign the movie.
Sood in his post had requested the producers, directors and his colleagues to rally behind Yadav. “A small signing amount, adjustable against future work, is not charity, it’s dignity,” Sood said. He urged the industry to remind Yadav that “he's not alone.” “This is how we show we are more than just an industry,” he added.
Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn
In an interview with Screen, Yadav manager Goldie indicated that most people had approached him to assist the actor. “Actors like Sonu Sood, Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn have extended their support,” the manager said.
The manager would not be able to comment on whether the actor made an attempt to seek assistance before giving up, saying the industry had stood by Yadav with a fight.
Varun Dhawan, David Dhawan, Ratan Jain.
Some of the other people who have come forward include Bollywood director David Dhawan, his son actor Varun Dhawan, and film producer Ratan Jain.
“I was just on a call with David Dhawan — he too reached out. Ratan Jain, Varun Dhawan… many people are coming forward to help him this time, which Rajpal has deeply appreciated,” Yadav's manager told Screen.
Guru Randhawa
After Sonu Sood, singer Guru Randhawa has also joined hands with the aim of providing Yadav with financial help. Randhawa claimed that Yadav would be appearing in one of his new music videos and even paid him an advance of it.
Taking to his Instagram Story, Randhawa said, ““Lets all Help our senior actor @rajpalofficial sir. Will be transferring him advance amount as feature in one of my upcoming videos. Sonu sood paji following what you started.” The singer added, “Lets all help and get him home safe. Waheguru @sonu_sood.”

Singh offered help to the actor in the form of 1.11 crore. “On behalf of the Gem Tunes family, I am extending legal aid of ₹1.11 crore. Our team is actively working on this.
