Sadhu Thrashes YouTuber: At the holy meeting point of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers in Uttar Pradesh, the Maha Kumbh Mela—one of the biggest religious gatherings in the world—officially began on Monday.
Over 40 crore devotees took part in the first holy dip despite the bitter cold.
According to PTI reports, the celebration is expected to draw over 45 crore people annually, making it a historic occasion in religious history.

Videos of devotees and sadhus commencing the Mela have been dominating social media. One video, in particular, showing a sadhu thrashing a YouTuber with tongs in his tent is stirring up conversations.
The video shows the YouTuber with a mic asking the sadhu questions. After answering a few, the sadhu gets irked and starts to strike the man, kicking him out of his tent. “Tumlog dekh rhe ho kya galat bola isney (Did you guys listen to what wrong he said)?” the sadhu asks the onlookers.
The video, shared by the Instagram account "Janta Darbar," has garnered an impressive 18.5 million views, with thousands of comments pouring in.

Reactions on social media include both humour and criticism.
Netizens' responses to the video have been mixed. While some users discussed the incident's ethics, many others couldn't help but find it funny.
One user quipped, “This is what happens when you poke a sadhu with silly questions!” Another added, “Respect their space. Not everything is content!” A third joked, “Sadhu 1, YouTuber 0. Instant karma!”
Another commenter wrote, “The YouTuber clearly crossed a line. You can’t just ask anything and expect people to stay calm.” Yet another argued, “Violence isn’t the answer. Even the sadhu should have handled it better.”
With over 1,14,000 views, the video left the internet in stitches. “YouTubers are harassing them. Maharaj ji did the right thing,” a user wrote. “What kind of saint can one truly be if they lack control over their anger?” another user commented.
One user sarcastically remarked, “Guess the YouTuber got more content than he bargained for!”
While some defended the sadhu, one user said, “Let this be a lesson for clout chasers to think twice before disturbing someone’s peace.”
