Mahakumbh 2025: Laurene Powell Jobs, Renamed ‘Kamala’, Honors Spiritual Leader
Laurene Powell Jobs-the spouse of international business magnet Steve Jobs-attended the grand fest in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.

Mahakumbh 2025: On February 13, Laurene Powell Jobs, joined by many family members on Sunday, were also scheduled to attend the inauguration of a spiritual leader in Allahabad, ahead of the Maha Kumbh. The common household name will perform the pat abhishek for Vyasanand Giri Maharaj.

Dressed in a long, white dress with an orange wrap tied over it, she could be seen, on both hands, putting up an orange wrap on the spiritual leader and offering prayers. The ceremony was at Niranjani Akhara at Prayagraj.
Laurene Powell Jobs, 61, was given a new name before the Mahakumbh, that of "Kamala". She will be staying for 17 days on the occasion and is expected to attract 400 million attendees. The 'Sangam'; Ganges, Yamuna and Saraswati mythical confluence, will see Powell Jobs dipping into the holy river.
She accompanied spiritual leader Kailashanand Giri Maharaj from Niranjani Akhara to visit the famous Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh last week.
Laurene Powell Jobs is a 61-year-old founder at Emerson Collective, an investment fund and advocacy fund, which has also come to own The Atlantic. She has a net worth of over $15 billion according to Forbes.

He was just 56 when he died in October 2011. Jobs was one of the co-founders of Apple Inc. Jobs was of the first generation that reinvented California and across the globe.
12 years after the previous Mahakumbh, the Mahakumbh will go on until 26 February.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his words, described it as a "divine event" and said it is a "sacred journey of intimacy, harmony and exchange of faith and culture" in which countless persons "gather."
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, urged everyone to witness the "confluence of unity in diversity" on the largest spiritual and cultural festival in the world.
