Repeated No‑Fly Zone Violations Above Trump’s Golf Club: At least 7 breaches of a Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) were reported over the weekend near former U.S. President Donald Trump’s golf resort in Bedminster, New Jersey, prompting military intervention, according to officials.
NORAD confirmed that U.S. fighter jets were deployed on Sunday afternoon to intercept a general aviation aircraft that strayed into restricted airspace while Trump was on the premises of his Trump National Golf Club.
The intercept occurred around 12:50pm EDT. NORAD aircraft used flares to alert the pilot before escorting the civilian plane out of the TFR zone. “While these flares may have been visible to the public, they were used with utmost caution to ensure safety for the pilot and individuals on the ground,” NORAD said in a statement.

This was the 2nd TFR violation on Sunday, making 5 for the weekend. NORAD reminds all general aviation pilots to check FAA NOTAMs before takeoff. Compliance with airspace restrictions is mandatory regardless of aircraft type or location.
NORAD has a layered detection and response system that includes radars, satellites and fighter jets to monitor unauthorized air activity over North America.
This latest interception follows a similar event last month, when an F-16 intercepted a civilian plane over the same area using a “headbutt” maneuver to redirect the aircraft. That incident also involved five TFR violations in one day.

Trump has made frequent visits to his Bedminster club since returning to the presidency in January, prompting repeated activation of restricted airspace during his stays. Pilots who breach these zones risk fines, interrogation, or license suspension.
“General aviation pilots are reminded to verify all Federal Aviation Agency (FAA) Notice to Airmen (NOTAMs) and Fly Informed before every flight,” the NORAD said.
About the latest at Bedminster, NORAD reported Sunday night: “In addition to three unauthorized incursions yesterday, there were four violations today, including one requiring an intercept.”
