Relief to the people of Delhi from the outbreak of winter
According to the Meteorological Department, another active Western Disturbance will affect the western Himalayan region from Friday night till January 26 and the plains of northwest India from January 23 to January 25. Under its influence, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand for the next three days.

Due to the effect of Western Disturbance, there was a lot of relief from the cold winter in Delhi on Thursday. An increase in the minimum and maximum temperature was also recorded. According to the Meteorological Department, this temperature will increase further. It was sunny all day on Thursday. The minimum temperature was one notch below normal at 5.6 degrees Celsius while the maximum was recorded at 22.6 degrees Celsius, three notches above normal. The humidity level in the air ranged from 31 to 96 percent. An increase in the temperature was also observed in other areas of the capital.
For Friday, the Meteorological Department has predicted that there will be slight fog in the morning while the day will be partly cloudy. The maximum and minimum temperature can be 22 and nine degree Celsius respectively. On the other hand, till January 25, the temperature of Delhi will not fall but will increase. On the other hand, the Meteorological Department said that in many parts of North India, the condition of cold wave decreased on Thursday and there is no possibility of severe cold for the next five days. However, the outbreak of cold wave continued in some areas of South Haryana, East Rajasthan, North Madhya Pradesh and Bihar. Parts of North Madhya Pradesh and parts of Haryana and East Uttar Pradesh recorded minimum temperatures ranging between 2 to 5 degrees Celsius.
