Ambareesh Birth Anniversary: On May 29, we celebrate the 72nd birth anniversary of Malavalli Huchchegowda Amarnath also known as Ambareesh as his screen name.

Ambareesh was an Indian actor who is famous for his Telugu films also debuted in Politics in 1994 and became a prominent three-time member of Lok Sabha. Ambareesh was very famous among his Telugu fans for his supporting scenes in Telugu films.

He also claimed the name ‘Rebel Star’ for his successful hit films which is the same as Krishnam Raju who is also an Indian Telugu actor.

The reason Ambareesh had such a big fan following was also because of his political career, he was selected as a member of the Mandya Lok Sabha Constituency.

He was also called Mandyada Gandu, which means "Man of Mandya" by the peoples of Karnataka, and was also considered as a matinee hero in Karnataka.

About Malavalli Huchchegowda Amarnath

Ambareesh also known as Rebel Star was born on 29 May 1952 to Hucchegowda and Padmamma in Doddarasinakere village of Mandya district, Karnataka.

Ambareesh was the sixth child of Hucchegowda and Padmamma and completed his schooling and graduation in Mandya.

Rebel Star's film career started when his friend Sangram Singh suggested Ambareesh's name to a film director Puttanna Kanaga who was looking for an actor, he first appeared in the Naagarahaavu film in 1972 thus marking the start of his film career.

He also appeared in many films such as Masanada Hoovu, Shubhamangala, Ranganayaki (1981), and more than 205 films.

As of 2006, Ambareesh has already acted as a lead role and also as a supporting actor in more than 230 films, breaking many records.

Ambareesh's acting in these films Masanada Hoovu, Elu Suttina Kote, and Sreekumaran Thampi's Malayalam film Gaanam (1982) received huge praise and attention.

Malavalli Huchchegowda Amarnath started his political journey back in 1994 but at first, not many people were interested in him, it was after he joined the Janata Dal and won the ticket for the general election from Mandya.

He later joined the INC again and served as the state minister in the 14th Lok Sabha but later he resigned from his position.
