RCB IPL 2025 Victory Parade Turns Tragic: A day intended for celebration turned into a catastrophe on Wednesday when a stampede result in at least seven deaths and injured over 30 in a space outside Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

The tragedy struck in the afternoon hours when thousands of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) supporters flocked to the stadium to celebrate their team’s first-ever Indian Premier League (IPL) title win.
Even with a heavy police presence, the police quickly lost control as crowd numbers increased.
Eyewitnesses recounted the scene from several gates where chaos erupted as fans raced to celebrate and take pictures of their sporting heroes after a historic victory. Some people went down and got walked on as the crowd pushed together.

Because of the significant numbers, ambulance services were also stuck in surrounding traffic and the response was delayed despite the growing number of injured.
Despite the number of injuries on the rise, the streets by the stadium and Vidhana Soudha remained jammed with RCB supporters for the felicitation ceremony that followed.
Earlier in the day, the Karnataka government had called off a victory parade from Vidhana Soudha to the stadium to manage the crowds.
