Priyanka Chopra Stuns in Ultramarine Festive Look at Durga Puja Mumbai
Priyanka Chopra was spotted at the North Bombay Durga Puja pandal where she looked elegant and graceful in an ultramarine ethnic kurta set.
After a break in Hollywood, Priyanka Chopra graced the Mumbai Durga Puja pandal in North Bombay organised by Rani Mukerji and Kajol. The international icon has been very welcoming of the cultural festivity, and she incorporated her international fame with the classic Indian glamour.
In the case of Durga Puja, Priyanka Chopra chose a royal kurta ensemble by a home based brand, Sobariko. Designed by Ami Patel, the appearance emphasized the fact that Priyanka was capable of easily moving between the red-carpet glitziness towards the Indian-rooted and understated forms of dressing.

Priyanka wore a jewel-colored ultramarine kurta which was embroidered with silver zipari that reflected the festive lights in cool brilliance. The dupatta was a perfect match with the straight-cut kurta and befitted the spiritual atmosphere of Durga Puja. With its corresponding straight-fitting bottoms reiterating the same sheen and silver embroidered borders as the kurta, the ensemble formed a balanced and monarchic shape. The rich color blended well with the bright reds and golds of the pandal, which made sure that Priyanka was noticed and at the same time, the event was not alien to tradition.
And staying on the subject of her outfit, Priyanka made few accessories. Two statement earrings also made a subtle appearance and were a great match to the embroidery without being overpowering. Her make-up was fresh and celebratory with outlined brows, lightly flushed cheeks, and a nude lip which gave her a glow. Her forehead had a tiny bindi, which gave her the cultural touch of perfection, the spirit of Ashtami. Her hair was cut back, and contrived to add to the stately, worshipful demeanor.
Priyanka has a vast amount of time spent in Los Angeles, but she decided to come to India during the festive season, and it highlights her strong connection with the culture.

Beyond the Festivities
The visit of Priyanka to the pandal was in the midst of a hectic schedule. She was just back in Mumbai shooting the SS Rajamouli next feature, SSMB 29, which also stars Mahesh Babu. She is also gearing up to participate in the second season of Citadel and her thrill seeking character in The Bluff as a 19th-century pirate. But in the midst of international engagements, her attendance at Durga Puja was like the reminder of her capability of remaining grounded in tradition as she overtook international film.
