PM Modi to Inaugurate Twin Tunnel Project in Mumbai Today: The twin tunnel project that connects Borivali and Thane is a 12 km long tunnel and is believed that it will reduce the journey time by 1 hour.

PM Modi to Inaugurate Twin Tunnel Project: As per the official reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to visit Mumbai on Saturday, July 13 for the inauguration of the Twin Tunnel Project which is worth Rs 16,600 crore.
The reports also stated that Modi will visit the NESCO Exhibition Centre in Goregaon and inaugurate many projects worth around Rs Rs 29,000 crore today.
While speaking with the press, the Project management office (PMO) said that the Prime Minister will arrive at the NESCO Exhibition Centre in Goregaon around 5:30 pm and will “dedicate to the nation and lay the foundation stone for multiple projects related to the road, railways and ports sector worth more than Rs 29,400 crore.”

The twin tunnel project that connects Borivali and Thane is a 12 km long tunnel and is believed that it will reduce the journey time by 1 hour.
The Twin Tunnel will pass under Sanjay Gandhi National Park and will create a link between the Western Express Highway and Thane Ghodbander Road.
The tunnel project at Goregaon Mulund Link Road (GMLR) costs around Rs 6,300 crore and will connect the Western Express Highway at Goregaon to the Eastern Express Highway at Mulund.
The official reports further stated Modi will inaugurate the Kalyan yard of Central Railway, the Gati Shakti MultiModal Cargo Terminal at Turbhe, a platform at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, and two new platforms at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus.

The remodeling of Kalyan's yard will make the yard bigger so that more trains can hold and will set apart suburban traffic.
The Gati Shakti Multi-Modal Cargo Terminal project which is situated in Navi Mumbai is 32,600 square meters and is worth Rs 5,400 crore.
The new platform at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and the extension of two platforms at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus is a major development as now it can fit longer trains, which means that each train can carry more people.
Then PM Modi will also inaugurate the Indian Newspaper Society (INS) towers at 7 pm today which will meet the changing needs of INS members for a good working environment.
