PM Modi Issues Stern Warning to Pakistan: No Talks, No Trade, Only PoK Discussion

PM Modi Issues Stern Warning to Pakistan: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said there would be no trade or talks with Pakistan, and if there is any discussion at all, it would only be about Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK)..

Speaking at a rally in Deshnoke, Bikaner, Modi said, “There will be neither trade nor talks with Pakistan. If there are talks, they will be on PoK.”.

Referring to the recent counterterror action under Operation Sindoor in retaliation of Pakistan-sponsored terror attack in Pahalgam, he said India had given its armed forces a “free hand,” which led to a swift and decisive strike in early hours of May 7..

“In response to the attacks on the 22nd, within just 22 minutes, our forces destroyed nine of the biggest terrorist bases,” PM Modi said. “The enemies of India, both within and outside, have now seen what happens when sindoor turns into gunpowder,” (jab sindoor barood ban jata hai, to kya nateeja hota hai.).

Taking a firm stance on Pakistan, he ruled out the possibility of any dialogue or trade. “There will be no talks and no trade with Pakistan. If there are talks, they will only be about Pakistan-occupied Kashmir,” he said. Modi warned that if Pakistan continues to export terror, it will be left begging for every drop of water, vowing to block India's rightful share of river water from flowing into the neighbouring country..

Rejecting nuclear threats from across the border, PM Modi said, “India will not be scared of nuclear threats.”.

Striking an emotional chord, the Prime Minister added, “Not blood, but sindoor runs in my veins,” and said those who tried to wipe it out “have been reduced to dust.”.

He highlighted that any future response to terrorist attacks on India will be decisive and entirely led by the armed forces, in both timing and strategy: “If there is another terrorist strike on India, our forces will choose the time and method of the reply.”.

The PM also reiterated his 2019 promise, saying, "Saugandh mujhe iss Desh ki mitti ki, mein desh nahi mitne dunga, mein desh nahi Jhukne dunga.".

The Prime Minister pointed out that locations like Bahawalpur and Muridke had long operated as centers of global terrorism, linking them to major attacks worldwide, including 9/11 attacks of US, the London Tube bombings, and decades of terrorist incidents in India. He declared that since terrorists had dared to destroy the dignity of Indian women, India had eliminated the headquarters of terror..

The address comes two days after India and Pakistan reached an understanding to stop all firings and military actions on land, air and sea with immediate effect..

The understanding was reached after four days of cross-border strikes that triggered fears of a wider conflict..

Operation Sindoor was launched by India on the intervening night of May 6 and 7 to avenge the killings of 26 people in the Pahalgam terror attack. Indian armed forces targeted nine terror sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, killing over 100 terrorists..

Pakistan then attempted to attack several Indian military bases on May 8, 9 and 10..

The Indian armed forces launched a fierce counter-attack on several Pakistani military installations, including Rafiqui, Murid, Chaklala, Rahim Yar Khan, Sukkur and Chunian..

Radar sites at Pasrur and Sialkot aviation base were also targeted using precision munitions, causing massive damage.

Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai has said 35-40 Pakistani military personnel have been killed in the combat and New Delhi achieved its desired objectives..

Ghai is scheduled to speak with his Pakistani counterpart this evening, the second time since Saturday.
