PM Modi Inaugurates ₹26,000 Crore Development Projects in Rajasthan; Flags Off Bikaner-Mumbai Express Train

Prime Minister Narendra Modi to visit Rajasthan on Thursday, to inaugurate and lay foundation stone of projects worth ₹26,000 crore. He will address a public meeting in Palana, Bikaner and darshan at Karni Mata Temple in Deshnoke at 11:00 AM.
Focus on Rail Infrastructure
Tomorrow, PM will inaugurate redeveloped Deshnoke Railway Station under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme and flag off Bikaner-Mumbai express. He will also launch 103 redeveloped Amrit Stations across 86 districts in 18 states and UTs, developed at a cost of over ₹1,100 crore. These stations have modern passenger amenities with regional architecture and improved accessibility, including facilities for Divyangjan.

India’s cultural diversity will be reflected in stations like Deshnoke, Thawe and Begumpet which are being redesigned to showcase traditional architectural styles and local art forms as part of a nationwide revamp of over 1,300 railway stations.
PM will also dedicate six electrified rail lines in Rajasthan and lay foundation stone of Churu-Sadulpur rail line. These electrification projects of nearly 1,000 km will help Indian Railways achieve 100% electrification for better operational efficiency and reduced carbon emissions.
Expansion of Road Network
Significant investments in road infrastructure being on the agenda, the PM lays the foundation stone for three vehicle underpasses and several national highway upgrades. He will dedicate in Rajasthan seven major roadway projects worth over ₹4,850 crore in total. The projects will strive to establish better connectivity to the Indo-Pak border, thereby improving both civilian mobility and national security.
Push for Renewable Energy and Power Transmission
The Prime Minister will also officiate the inauguration and foundation laying ceremony for several other power and renewable energy projects, including the large-scale solar energy installations at Bikaner and Didwana Kuchaman. It is expected that the projects of PowerGrid Mewar and Sirohi Transmission Ltd. will aid in strengthening the energy evacuation system.

State Projects: Roads, Health, and Water Supply
Hence, they would guarantee clean energy through the expansion in solar and transmission capacity and also aid India's climate goals.
Another 25 projects being launched or inaugurated during the stay belong to the state government. These projects will include the strengthening of more than 750 km of state highways, whereas another 900 km will be taken up in subsequent phases at a cost of over ₹3,240 crore. In the health sector, PM Modi would inaugurate nursing colleges at Rajsamand, Pratapgarh, Bhilwara, and Dholpur for the development of medical education and health care infrastructure locally.
There will be water-related projects, namely Rural Water Supply and Fluorosis Mitigation Project at Jhunjhunu and restructured urban water supply schemes at seven towns in the Pali district under the AMRUT 2.0 scheme.
With Rajasthan at the forefront of multiple strategic initiatives, this visit is a part of the government's larger effort to improve connectivity, infrastructure, and clean energy development throughout India's heartland.
