At least four of the Pakistani security officials were killed and four wounded in the attack. In the meantime, the Chief Taliban Spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid reported that the Pakistani strike resulted in the death of 12 civilians and more than 100 people were wounded.

The conflict between Afghanistan and Pakistan escalated as it happened during last week when the Taliban government accused Pakistan of conducting airstrikes on an Afghan capital, Kabul, and a market in eastern Afghanistan. Islamabad had already taken strikes within Afghanistan, claiming militant hideouts.
