NEET-PG not postponed, exam will be held on May 21 on the scheduled date
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) on Saturday also cautioned the concerned parties to be alert about "fake and false information" being issued in its name.
The Press Information Bureau (PIB) said on Saturday that this year's NEET-PG has not been postponed. This exam will be held on the scheduled date of 21st May only. It said that the notice issued in the name of National Board of Examinations is "fake" which states that the examination will now be held on July 9.
The statement came after a section of the media reported that this year's NEET-PG has been postponed and will now be held on July 9. A tweet on the 'Fact Check' handle of the Press Information Bureau said, "A fake notice in the name of National Board of Examinations claims that NEET-PG has been postponed, while the examination has not been postponed." This will happen only on May 21, 2022.
NBEMS currently conducts post graduate and post-doctoral examinations in accepted specializations. This gives doctors the status of Diplomate of National Board (DNB) and Doctorate of National Board (DRNB) respectively. In a notice issued on Saturday, NBEMS said that it publishes various notices related to its activities only on its website.
