Marathi actress Ketki in police custody, made objectionable post against Sharad Pawar

Marathi actress Ketki Chitale has been taken into custody by Thane police for posting objectionable posts against Nationalist Congress Party President Sharad Pawar. Officials gave this information on Saturday.

Chitale shared a poem written by advocate Nitin Bhave on her Facebook wall, which sparked a political controversy and the actress was heavily trolled for the hate speech used in the poem.

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena President Raj Thackeray also criticized him and said that such things have no place in Marathi culture and I strongly condemn it.

In his complaint to Thane Police, Netke said that Chitale's defamatory post has caused outrage among party leaders, workers and people and may lead to law and order problem. Ketki Chitale has created enmity among political parties by such posts, we have demanded strict action against him and he may be arrested, he said.
