Man dies After Sucked Into Plane Engine At Italy's Milan Airport
Earlier a man was a victim of being sucked by an aircraft engine into the airport in Milan Italy. The incident led to the temporary suspension of flight operation within a span of two hours.

A gut-wrenching accident was reported in the Milan Bergamo Airport in Italy after a man met with his demise when he was sucked into the engine of a Volotea plane that was about to leave on Tuesday morning.
The man is assumed to have dashed onto the tarmac and into the way of an Airbus A319, Volotea plane, which was flying to Asturias in Spain.

The airport also closed its operations shortly after the incident which happened around 10.20 am.
Flights were also halted between 1020 and 12 local time (0820 -1000 GMT), because of a glitch that was experienced on the taxiway, according to a news agency Reuters that cited a report by Bergamo airport.
The company managing the airport operation, SACBO said in a post on X that air traffic started normalizing at midday. "All flights to and from the airport had been suspended at 10.20am after a problem occurred on the taxiway," Italian news media outlet The Local quoted a SACBO statement.

According to media reports, a man aged 35 was sucked by a plane engine when he was running on a tarmac being pursued by the police.
The man was not a passenger or an airport worker and he is supposed to have gained access to the runway by using one of the security doors accessed to the baggage claim area of the airport, the report indicated.
"We are investigating reports of an incident involving our flight V73511 BGY-OVD, which occurred on the ground after boarding was completed and ready for departure," Volotea, the concerned airline company, said in a statement.
Official tracker site Flightradar24 reported at least 19 delayed flights that had to be canceled due to the incident, and nine flights bound to Bergamo airport had to be diverted to other Italian airports; six to Milan Malpensa.
