Bomb Threat at Hyderabad City Civil Court – Safety Measures Underway
Police claimed extensive search at Raj Bhavan but nothing was found out. Search being made at Civil Court. The preparation of precautionary checks too is being undertaken at the Civil Court in Secunderabad.

On Tuesday (July 8, 2025) morning, panic situated in the City Civil Court of Purani Haveli at Hyderabad as an email saying that there was an incidence of four improvised explosive devices (IEDs) fitted with RDXplanted within the premises. The security replied to the anonymous threat.
The email arrived at 3.43 in the morning stating that the bombs had been systematically planted in the Judge chambers and other sections of the civil court complex.

The Court proceedings were adjourned that day when the police ordered complete evacuation of the premises on receiving information about the email to the Mirchowk police. As per Mirchowk assistant commissioner of police (ACP) Venkateshwar Rao, three bomb disposal squad teams, including police personnel, arrived at the site and started a search of the facility to assure that nobody is there. Sniffing dogs and sophisticated detection tools were used to exclude the possibility of threat.
The officer acknowledged that search was already being conducted and that the area was already secured. “The email was brought to our attention around 10.30 a.m.. We have vacated the area and deployed bomb squads for inspection. No suspicious items have been found so far,” he said. There is also an investigation in order to determine where the email originated.

Meanwhile precautionary checks are also being conducted at the civil court at Secunderabad. “As a preventive measure, we have deployed two bomb squads and around 10 police personnel to inspect the premises,” Gopalpuram ACP P. Subbaiah said.
The same had happened to the Raj Bhavan as well, which called in a security sweep by security forces in the premises. “The search operation began around 11 a.m. Four bomb squads, along with local police, conducted thorough checks but found nothing suspicious,” said Panjagutta police inspector Bandari Shobhan.
To identify the the origin of the email an investigation is underway. “We are yet to confirm whether it was sent by the same person,” the official added.
