On Day 4 of the current 4th Test match against England in Manchester, India is hoping to silence the critics and hope to come up with much better performance as far as their bowling is concerned. On day 3, England completely dominated over India, as they ended at A day at 544/7 at Stumps, in reply to the India first innings total of 358. The hosts are currently 186 runs ahead and the last instance when India has surrendered a 500-plus score was back in 2021.

The Day 2 performance of the Indian bowlers with the old ball had given England the context of the Day 3. The Indian bowlers also made an effort to make a comeback during the first session, since they maintained a good line and did not give away plenty of runs. Crawley scored 84 off 113 balls that contained 13 fours and a six. Meanwhile- Duckett whacked 94 in 100 balls and blasted 13 boundaries in the process.

Day 3 also reported Jasprit Bumrah falling down the steps and suffered the same during the second session where Jasprit Bumrah was on the bench for sometime. On Day 3 he got off to a good start, however, his impact tapered off afterward, except when he delivered a sensational performance to get a wicket of Jamie Smith. In the meantime, debutant Anshul Kamboj did not make a change and Shardul Thakur was miserable. Mohammed Siraj on the other hand continued to persist with his efforts but could not dig out anything in every over.
Day 4 will also be all about Indian bowlers, as they will really have to step up. Bumrah will also want to show more. In the interim, fans will also express the desire that skipper Shubman Gill should employ Sundar more, who got two wickets on Day 3, but bowled only 19 overs. In the meantime, Ravindra Jadeja has received two dismissals already in this Test, and has bowled 33 overs.
