Mumbai Weather Alert: Heavy to Very Heavy Rainfall Forecast
The IMD said that the island city and suburbs will experience heavy to very heavy rainfall till Sunday morning and there must be occasional gusty winds with the speed of 40-50 kmph.

Mumbai Weather Alert: In Maharashtra, the IMD has reported moderate to intense rainfall over districts of Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, Pune and Satara on Saturday (July 26, 2025) morning.
Additionally, IMD also predicted heavy to very heavy rain in Mumbai city together with suburbs during that day.

The IMD said that the island city and suburbs will experience heavy to very heavy rainfall till Sunday (July 27, 2025) morning and there must be occasional gusty winds with the speed of 40-50 kmph.
Based on the most recent 24 hours rainfall measurements, the city registered 29.51 mm of rain between 8 a.m. on 25 and 8 a.m. receive on 26 July.
In the eastern and western suburbs, 89.44 mm and 81.42 mm of rainfall were observed respectively, whereas in the island city, it was light as 29.51 mm of rainfall was recorded.

Under the orange alert on Mumbai on Friday (July 25, 2025), the metropolis had occasional sunshine and heavy spells later. IMD, in the mean time improved its orange alert over Palghar to red, but indicated that there would be very heavy rains in some parts.
The BMC stated that there is predicted to be a high tide at 1.20 p.m., 4.67 metres, and a low tide at 7.27 p.m, 1.26 metres, on Saturday (July 26, 2025).
Most of the time, waterlogging in low-lying areas is as a result of heavy rains at peak tides.
