How Does Scheduled Actions function?
This is how you would use the Scheduled Actions capability in Gemini:
1. Set Up a Task
- You let Gemini know what you want automated-say, "Summarize my unread emails every morning at 8 am."
- Say it's a one-time or recurring task.
2. Choose the Trigger
- You can choose for the task to run at a specific time, on a specific date, or simply after the trigger has happened and use the echo function.
3. Manage Your Actions
- You can schedule up to 10 active tasks at one time.
- All of your scheduled actions, can be viewed, paused, and deleted from Gemini's new "Scheduled Actions" tab in the Settings (available on both mobile and desktop).
- If the action you are scheduling will be location dependent, Gemini will take the location in which you create the action as the location to use every time you want the same action, so that you can get consistent results.
4. Get Notified
- Gemini will push you the results as notifications on your mobile device, so you don't need to open the app every time.
