Gold and Silver Rates Today On September 9: After a decrease in the gold rate the previous day, the gold price today in India remained unchanged.

On Monday, September 9, the 22-carat gold rate today in India is priced at Rs 66,790 per 10 grams while the 24-carat gold rate today stands at Rs 72,860 per 10 grams.

Yesterday the gold rate for 22-carat was priced at Rs 66,800 per 10 grams and the 24-carat gold rate stood at Rs 72,870 per 10 grams.

Meanwhile, the 22-carat gold today is valued at Rs 6,684 per gram and the 24-carat gold rate costs Rs 7,346 per gram.

The silver price today in India remained unchanged in the last 24 hours, the silver price today stands at Rs 84,400 per kilogram.

The gold futures contracts in the MCX expiring on October 2024 were down by Rs 457 and were trading at Rs 71,460 per 10 gm while the silver contracts went down by Rs 71,460 and were trading at Rs 82,864 per kg.

The gold and silver prices are mainly affected by the tax rates, demand and supply, US dollar value, and many others.

However, the gold and silver prices dropped significantly in July after the government introduced the Union Budget which reduced the taxes imposed on gold and silver from 15% to 6%.

This reduction in tax rate led to a massive decline of Rs 4,000 in gold and silver rates.
