Gold and Silver Rates Today On September 8: After remaining the same for the second consecutive day, the gold price today in India has slightly decreased.

On Sunday, August 8, the 22-carat gold rate today in India is priced at Rs 66,800 per 10 grams while the 24-carat gold rate today is valued at Rs 72,870 per 10 grams.

The gold rate for 22-carat declined by Rs 30 compared to last day’s price while the 24-carat gold rate today also went down by Rs 30.

Meanwhile, the 22-carat gold today is valued at Rs 6,735 per gram and the 24-carat gold rate costs Rs 7,352 per gram.

The silver price today in India remained unchanged in the last 24 hours, the silver price today stands at Rs 84,500 per kilogram.

The gold futures contracts in the MCX expiring on October 2024 were up by Rs 68 and were trading at Rs 71,985 per 10 gm while the silver contracts went up Rs 42 and were trading at Rs 84,998 per kg.

The gold and silver prices are mainly affected by the tax rates, demand and supply, US dollar value and many others.

However, the gold and silver prices dropped significantly in July after the government introduced the Union Budget which reduced the taxes imposed on gold and silver from 15% to 6%.

This reduction in tax rate led to a massive decline of Rs 4,000 in gold and silver rates.
