UK Issue Travel Warnings Amid Israel-Iran Tensions: France, India, Russia, Poland, and the United Kingdom have warned their citizens not to travel to Israel, the occupied Palestinian territories, or the wider region as a consequence of Iranian threats of attack since this month's attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus.
As a result of the strike on the Syrian capital on April 1, in which seven members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, including two generals, were killed, Iran has threatened reprisals against Israel.
French citizens are advised not to travel to Iran, Lebanon, Israel, and the Palestinian territories on Friday, according to the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
According to a statement posted on social media platform X, Iranian diplomats' relatives will return to France, and French civil servants are now forbidden from conducting missions in those countries.
Over the "possibility of an attack on Israeli territory from Iran", the UK warned its citizens to avoid all but essential travel to Israel and Palestine.
It's not a good idea to travel to northern Israel, the Gaza Strip, areas near Gaza, or the occupied West Bank - except for East Jerusalem.
There are security risks in Israel, Lebanon, and Palestine for Russians.
“The situation in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone as well as in the area of the ‘Blue Line’ between Lebanon and Israel remains unstable,” its Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
Israel, Palestine, and Lebanon were also advised against travel by the Polish Foreign Ministry.
Iran and Israel were addressed in India's statement, which urged Indians not to travel there until further notice due to "prevailing regional conditions".

According to the Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi, Indian citizens in the two countries should take "utmost precautions about their safety and limit their movements".

As tensions escalated, Germany warned its citizens to leave Iran specifically.
Additionally, Lufthansa has extended its suspension of flights to and from Tehran until Thursday and will not use Iranian airspace during that time.
It has restricted the personal travel of its employees in Israel and their families outside the greater Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Beersheba regions.
In a last-ditch message, Biden says Iran will attack Israel "sooner rather than later."
On Friday, Biden told reporters, "We'll defend Israel. We'll support Israel, and Iran won't win."
Israel's bombings and ground forces have killed at least 33,600 Palestinians since Hamas attacked southern Israel on October 7.
Since the war started, Israel has also increased its strikes in Syria and Lebanon and engaged Hezbollah in cross-border fire every day.
