Fire breaks out in Hyderabad building, no casualties reported

On Saturday, there was a break out of fire on the ground floor of a three-storeyed building in the Himayat Nagar area of Hyderabad. Furniture and household goods have been damaged. The incident did not result in any injuries and casualties.

The fire department officials revealed that the inferno had started in the drawing room near the ground floor of the building.

The official said, "A fire broke out on the ground floor of a three-story building, specifically in the drawing room. Household items and furniture were damaged in the flames. We received a fire call around 2:47 pm, and two fire vehicles reached the spot, controlling the fire. Fortunately, there were no casualties reported."

The fire service was well able to attend to the situation on time to ensure that the fire did not spread to the upper storeys or inflict injury on anyone. Authorities went on to say that though no person was hurt, the furniture and other household items were damaged.

The ignition source is still to be established and other investigation is continuing on the actual cause of the fire.

In the meantime, five individuals were saved in a residential building, which was caught on fire early on Wednesday morning in Hyderabad.

"Fire broke out in a G+4 upper floor building at Flat No. 201, Aijaz Residency, Moghalpura. Fortunately, the prompt response of the fire Station Moghalpura Crew led by Leading Fireman SM Hasan, saved five people trapped on the upper floors," officials said.

According to the authorities, the fire happened because of the short circuit on the switchboard, bed and TV.

The names of rescued are Syed Abdul Kareem Sajid (55) physically handicapped and Atiya Begum (47), Farheen Begum (27), Syed Imam Jafar (19), Mohammed Rizwan Uddin (38).
