Esha Gupta Finally Confirms Talking to Hardik Pandya, But Says It Never Got Serious

Esha Gupta Finally Confirms Talking to Hardik Pandya: Esha Gupta is finally setting the record straight. Years after rumours linked her to cricketer Hardik Pandya, the actress has candidly opened up about what really went down between them. In a recent interview, she addressed their brief connection, why it never blossomed into a relationship, and how the infamous Koffee With Karan controversy factored into it all.

She admitted, “Yeah, for some time we were talking. I don’t think we were dating, but yeah, we were talking for a couple of months. We were at that ‘maybe it will happen, maybe it won’t’ stage It ended before we even reached the dating stage. So it wasn’t dating-dating. We met once or twice, that’s it. So yeah, as I said, it was a couple of months and then it ended.”

When asked whether they had the potential to be a couple, Esha Gupta replied, “Maybe it could have happened. But I don’t think it was meant to be. Even before that, those poor guys were already facing bad luck after saying some things on live TV. And by then, we had already stopped talking.”

Back in 2018, rumours swirled that Esha Gupta and Hardik Pandya sparked a connection after meeting at a party. But when Hardik’s controversial comments on Koffee With Karan went viral, Esha didn’t hold back; she publicly criticised the episode for its misogynistic tone.

Commenting on the backlash Hardik and KL Rahul received for their remarks on the show, Esha said she chose not to add to the controversy. “They were already going through enough. What good would it do if I jumped in with more criticism?” she said, noting that she had become emotionally resilient over the years.

Esha further explained that the reason their connection didn’t work out was simply a matter of incompatibility. She expressed that while she is ambitious and grounded, she prefers meaningful relationships that are away from the public spotlight. “There was no drama or bitterness,” she added. “It just wasn’t meant to be.”'

The actress also explained why their connection didn’t develop further. She said she seeks grounded, meaningful relationships away from the public spotlight, something that perhaps clashed with Pandya’s high-profile public life.

Esha was last seen in Ek Badnaam Aashram 3 Part 2 on MX Player alongside Bobby Deol. She also played DCP Laxmi Rathi in One Day: Justice Delivered. Rumour has it she may join the cast of Hera Pheri 3, though an official confirmation is awaited.
