E-rickshaw driver killed in collision with Mercedes car in Noida, accused arrested

An e-rickshaw driver has died in a collision with a Mercedes car in UP's Noida. This car was being driven by an IT professional. The incident took place at Nithari in Noida Sector 20 area around 9 am on Friday, in which 29-year-old e-rickshaw driver Ravi was seriously injured.
Police said that as soon as the information about the incident was received, the police team reached the spot and the e-rickshaw driver who was injured in the collision was taken to the hospital. However he could not be saved. The driver of the car has been identified as Anand Ranjan. He is a resident of Sector 25 and a case has been registered against the accused on the complaint of the family of the deceased.
A case has been registered under Indian Penal Code sections 279 (reckless driving), 304A (death by negligence) and 427 (causing harm), police said. The police have sent the body for post-mortem and have seized the car involved in the accident. Police said that the investigation of the matter is on. We are scanning the CCTV footage to find out whose fault it was.
Earlier, in Sector 126 of Noida, a speeding Scorpio car driver went uncontrollably and hit three cars hard. Due to this jarring collision, all three vehicles were badly damaged and a passer-by passing by was also trampled by the car. The person injured in this accident died in the hospital. In this case, the police arrested the accused car driver. The accused was a student. The man in the Scorpio car was identified as Sahil Sharma son Hemchand Sharma.
