Delhi MLA Salary Hike: Delhi MLAs will now get Rs 90,000 salary every month

70 MLAs of Delhi amid the increase in dearness allowance of all state government employees of the central government. According to the information received from the sources, after a long time there is going to be a tremendous increase in the salary of the MLAs of Delhi. At present, after getting allowances, the salary of a Delhi MLA is 54,000 per month, while after the increase, the salary of MLAs will be Rs 90,000 per month.

There is going to be an increase in the salary of MLAs in Delhi soon, because the proposal of increase in the salary of MLAs has been approved by the Central Government. Now waiting for it to become official.

A proposal was sent to the Union Home Ministry on behalf of the Delhi Assembly Allowances Committee to increase the monthly salary of the MLAs of Delhi. This proposal to increase the salary was sent to the Central Government in the year 2015 for permission.

The Delhi government had proposed to the Union Home Ministry to give a salary of Rs 54,000 to the MLAs of Delhi at par with the MLAs of other states. The Delhi government had also argued that many states give their MLAs house rent, office rent, staff expenses, allowance for buying office equipment, vehicle for use, driver allowance etc., but Delhi MLA's don't get provided with such facilities.
