Delhi CM Atishi Alleges Kejriwal Attacker Linked to BJP’s Parvesh Verma’s Campaign
Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Atishi on Sunday alleged that Arvind Kejriwal's car was attacked by "goons of the BJP" during campaigning in the New Delhi Assembly seat.

Delhi CM Atishi Alleges Kejriwal Attacker: Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Atishi on Sunday alleged that Arvind Kejriwal's car was attacked by "goons of the BJP" during campaigning in the New Delhi Assembly seat.
She also said that the alleged attacker was connected with BJP’s New Delhi candidate Parvesh Verma and that he is involved in the former MP’s election campaign.
"Yesterday in New Delhi, an attack was carried out on Arvind Kejriwal’s car inside the New Delhi Assembly. The attack was perpetrated by BJP goons. Who were the people that attacked Arvind Kejriwal? Upon closer observation, there is one name--'Shanky,' who is a Vice President of the BJP and is often seen putting up posters of Pravesh Verma in his area. Moreover, he is frequently found in the company of Pravesh Verma. During campaigns, Shanky stays closely associated with Pravesh Verma," Atishi said.

"Serious charges have been filed against him, which could lead to a sentence of up to seven years. He also faces charges under the Arms Act. Cases are registered against him at the Shakarpur Police Station. Charges of attempted murder, assault, and robbery are pending against him, and those cases are ongoing. At the Paharganj Police Station, there is also a case of robbery and assault filed against him. Hardcore criminals like him, already accused of robbery and murder during robbery, were sent to attack Arvind Kejriwal," Atishi said.
The AAP leader also listed out the cases against the alleged attacker, saying that it was clear that he was sent to attack the former chief minister.
“This person has cases of an attempt to commit robbery, which can lead to a punishment of 7 years, cases under the Arms Act, which can lead to a punishment of 2 years, there is an FIR in Shakarpur police station, which has sections of robbery and attempt to murder, which can lead to a punishment of 10 years, there is a case in Paharganj police station. It is clear that a criminal was sent to attack Arvind Kejriwal," she said.

The BJP leader rejected the allegation, and instead countered by claiming that it was Arvind Kejriwal's vehicle which hit two youngsters.
Parvesh Verma is in the electoral fray against former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and Sandeep Dikshit of the Congress in the New Delhi assembly constituency. Both have filed their nominations and exuded confidence in the victory of their parties.
