Dehradun Accident: Six Students Killed in Tragic Crash, Police Seek Legal Guidance for Action

Dehradun Accident: In a tragic incident in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, six lost their lives in a road accident, and another was injured.
The mishap occurred around 2 a.m. on Tuesday when a truck brutally hit an Innova car at the ONGC crossing, leaving it shattered.
With no eyewitnesses able to recall the exact events, investigators have turned to available surveillance footage.

CCTV recordings from various points along the car’s route indicate the vehicle was initially moving at a normal speed as it passed through prominent intersections like Rajpur Road, Saharanpur Chowk, Balliwala, and Ballupur.
However, the footage shows the car suddenly accelerating as it neared the ONGC intersection—a factor believed to have contributed to the accident.
Police said when they reached the accident spot, Siddhesh Aggarwal(25) with multiple injuries was still alive and he was rushed to the hospital immediately and dead.

The cops claimed that the driver of the trailer truck had left the spot, abandoning the vehicle. The number plate of both vehicles involved in the accident were not present — one a trailer truck and the other an SUV.
The car was crushed so badly that it became shrunk into a small metallic mass.
Police have begun searching for the truck driver who is reported to be missing and have already started a probe into the accident to find out how it happened.
The bodies have been identified as Guneet (19), Kamakshi (20), Navya Goyal (23), Rishabh Jain (24), Kunal Kukreja (23), and Atul Agarwal (24). of Graphic Era University Dehradun.
