Another flight from Nagpur to Kolkata made an emergency landing at Raipur airport after a bomb threat. IndiGo flight 6E812 with 187 passengers and 6 crew members on board is being checked at the airport.
Additional SP (Rural) Kirtan Rathore said further inquiry is on.

The plane landed in the capital of Chhattisgarh around 9 am and was taken to isolation bay for security checks, said officials, reported PTI.
Indian airlines – domestic and international – have been getting bomb threats for the past few months. Till date over 300 flights received similar threats and the latest one was on Thursday.
An unknown person called the CISF control room and mentioned a person named Mohammad who was carrying explosives on a flight from Mumbai to Azerbaijan, said reports.

On getting the threat, CISF alerted Sahar Police and a quick security check was done at the airport. Security has been beefed up as a precaution and police are verifying passenger details to ensure safety and prevent any threat.
Over 450 hoax calls were made in October and there was a huge concern about the impact on passenger safety and national security.
In response to these threats, NIA’s cyber wing has thoroughly investigated these calls. The inquiry is to discover the motive behind the calls and verify the authenticity.
November 10, a person was detained by security agencies at Kolkata airport after he claimed that there was a bomb on the plane. He was caught from the airport premises.
