Baba Siddique Shooter Waited Outside Lilavati Hospital for 30 Minutes to Confirm Death

Baba Siddique Shooter Waited: Main accused in the murder case of senior Nationalist Congress Party leader Baba Siddique, Shiv Kumar Gautam, has come out with the confession that after firing, he stood outside the Lilavati Hospital – where the politician was taken – to know whether Siddique had died or survived the attack, NDTV reported citing police.
The shooter also told the police, during questioning, that shortly after firing, he had changed his shirt rapidly and stood outside the hospital for 30 minutes in the crowd. The accused had left the spot soon after he came to know that Siddique's condition was very critical.
66-year-old Siddique was shot dead on October 12 by three assailants in Mumbai's Bandra area. Lawrence Bishnoi gang had claimed responsibility for the murder.

The accused further narrated that after first plan was altered, he was to meet his aides – Dharmaraj Kashyap and Gurmail Singh at Ujjain railway station where the member of Bishnoi gang was supposed to take him to Vaishno Devi. However, the din't work as Kashyap and Singh were caught by the police from the spot.
How Police Caught the Main Accused?
Four close friends, whose late night conversations on social media apps had set alarm bells ringing for the sleuths, helped Mumbai Police track down Gautam, the main shooter of NCP leader Baba Siddique.

The Mumbai Crime Branch and the Uttar Pradesh Police Special Task Force (STF) arrested Gautam along with Anurag Kashyap, Gyan Prakash Tripathi, Akash Srivastava and Akhilendra Pratap Singh on Sunday in Uttar Pradesh's Nanpara area, near the Nepal border.
Suspicions over the four friends of Gautam, who had been purchasing clothes in various sizes and were making a plan to meet him at a remote forest about 10 kilometers from Nanpara on bicycles, set off the probe, PTI reported.
Later, police found that they wanted to help Gautam escape from the country through the Nepal route.
