Just a few days after Bollywood actor Salman Khan received a threat call from an unknown number asking for ₹2 crore, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath, has been receiving such a threat message.

Death threats to Khan had arrived earlier from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Suspected members of the gang had opened fire outside the actor's Bandra home in April this year.

A few months ago, the Navi Mumbai police unearthed a plot to kill the actor by Bishnoi gang, and Khan's security was enhanced further.

A 66-year-old politician was shot in his chest; he was rushed to the Lilavati Hospital. The leader had received a death threat only 15 days ago, and he had 'Y' category security.

So far, the police have arrested 15 accused in the case and are still on the lookout for the alleged masterminds Gautam, Zeeshan Akhtar, and Shubham Lonkar. The main shooter Shivkumar Gautam is also an absconder. In connection with the case, the Mumbai Police Crime Branch initiated the process for the extradition of Gangster Anmol Bishnoi, who is the brother of the jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
