Kerala Train Accident: The cops say that the cleaning staff was picking up trash on the railway track on the Kochi bridge above the Bharatapuzha river when the accident happened.

Kerala Train Accident: On Saturday evening, at Shoranur in Kerala's Palakkad, four contract cleaners working on the railway track got stuck on a bridge and were hit by a fast-moving Kerala Express. This was a terrible accident.
There were two men and two women killed. They were all from Salem in Tamil Nadu. The guys who worked as cleaners were both named Lekshman, and the women were named Valli and Rani.
The cops say that the cleaning staff was picking up trash on the railway track on the Kochi bridge above the Bharatapuzha river when the accident happened.

The workers saw the Kerala Express train coming from Delhi and going to Thiruvananthapuram very quickly, but they couldn't get out of the way in time. All four of them were killed suddenly.
Three bodies have been found, and the search is still going on for the fourth person that fell into the river.
These part-time workers are employed by a train contractor who was hired to clean both sides of the track in the area.
It is said that these workers did not know that the Kerala Express was about to cross the bridge while they were walking on it. The terrible accident is now being looked into by the local cops and the Railway Protection Force.

The accident happened just a few days after an explosion on a Rohtak-Delhi passenger train hurt four people.
Someone in charge said that the explosion happened near the Sampla stop, not long after the train left Rohtak station.
Witnesses also said that the sudden blast caused a lot of chaos and stopped the train right away.
Recent news reports said that the explosion might have been caused by a person carrying a lot of chemicals that caught fire and went off.
