Congress criticizes Government for FB and Whatsapp outage, says it was deliberately done to contain protests

Udit Raj, AICC spokesperson blamed the Central Government for the server outage of Whatsapp, Facebook, and Instagram. He said the government blocked the social media platforms deliberately to contain the ongoing farmer’s protest. His comment came after Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra organized a protest against the government over the Lakhimpur incident.

Many users on Monday evening complained about the servers of Whatsapp, Facebook and Instagram are down. Users complain about not being able to connect to the servers meaning they were not able to send and get messages to their contacts on these platforms.
