Budget 2024 Announcement: As Nirmal Sitharaman regains her power again as the Finance Minister of India, she announced while addressing the senior officials that the Union Budget 2024-2025 will start preparation from June 12.

On February 1, 2024, Sitharaman announced the interim budget to assist the current government until the new government comes in after the Lok Sabha elections.

As per the ANI reports, the Union Budget preparations were started on June 12 and Sitharaman instructed the senior staff to focus on the importance of careful planning and comprehensive research to create a perfect Union Budget.

The motive is to create a guaranteed well-structured budget that covers every economic priority and Crisis of the Country.

However, the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Council announced earlier that a meeting will be held on June 22 by Finance Minister Nirmal Sitharaman.

In a tweet on June 13, the GST Council officials said, “The 53rd meeting of the GST Council will be held on 22nd June 2024 at New Delhi.”

The Goods and Services Tax (GST) Council is expected to discuss and examine issues related to the GST, including administrative matters, policy changes, and tax rates.

Businesses, policymakers, stakeholders, the public, and many others will closely monitor the outcomes of the 53rd GST Council meeting because any potential update or change will affect trade, taxation, and broader economic dynamics.
