Budget 2024 Date and Expectations: As Prime Minister Narendra Modi has come to power again and all the ministers have been appointed to their respective positions in different sectors and states, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is all set to announce the Union Budget 2024 in July.
A union budget is a type of plan that addresses every aspect of government spending, policy changes, and more. It is more of an assessment of the government revenue and expenditure.
RK Shanmukham was the first one to represent the first Union Budget of independent India on November 26, 1947.
Finance Minister Nirmala recently announced the Interim budget on February 1, 2024, which brought many changes such as the extension of the PM AWAS Yojana, the introduction of solar power generation, and many others.

Union Budget 2024 Date
As per the reports, the union budget is expected to be announced in July but there has been no official confirmation about the date and time of the announcement of the union budget.
Financial Express reported that the union budget date and time will be confirmed after the announcement of the Parliament's Monsoon Session schedule.
However, this will mark the first budget after the formation of the new government PM Modi for the third consecutive time. The Union Budget will be announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
The Importance of Interim Budget
It is a type of budget that acts as a short-term financial plan to keep government operations until the next government comes in. The Interim Budget doesn’t introduce any new rules or policies, it just addresses spending and significant financial allocations.
This helps the current government to execute operations smoothly till the new government comes in.
However, the government has also announced the 52nd GST Council meeting which is scheduled to take place in New Delhi on June 22.
