Swapnil Nagesh Mali, a Bengaluru software engineer based at Infosys was arrested in secret video taping of women in the restroom. More than 30 pornographic videos were identified on his phone.

The Bengaluru police arrested a software engineer who was employed with Infosys on charges of secretly filming women in the toilet. Accused, Swapnil Nagesh Mali, 28, native of Andhra Pradesh, is the senior associate of the leading information technology company.
This outrageous event was reported on Monday, and it revealed itself when a perceptive female worker felt something strange when she visited the bathroom.
As the First Information Report (FIR) reveals, the woman claimed to have noticed Nagesh shooting her in the washroom when she was taking a bath because he had taken a washroom cubicle adjacent to her. She got scared and raised a hue and cry and other employees came to the rescue. When his cell phone was retrieved, it had apparently a number of video clips that were later erased in the presence of the Human Resources people, NDTV reported.
In an internal investigation, it was declared that the accused had shot more than 30 explicit videos of various women in the washroom of the office, which were discovered on his mobile phone. This revelation led to another wave of anger especially when the husband of the victim was informed about the incidence and he raised his voice with the management of the company.
After this the woman filed an official complaint in the police station at the Electronic City. Swapnil was arrested on the basis of what she said and the evidence that was gathered. He is now charged with some serious charges of invading privacy and sexual harassment.
The company in a corporate statement acknowledged that the worker has been dismissed and that it is assisting the law enforcers actively.
“We are aware of this incident and have taken necessary action against the employee, who is now separated from the company,” Infosys said. “We also promptly supported the complainant by facilitating a swift complaint with the law enforcement authorities and continue to cooperate as they investigate further.”
Reiterating its zero-tolerance stance, Infosys added: “Infosys is committed to providing an environment free of harassment and has a zero-tolerance policy. We take every complaint related to any violation of the company’s Code of Conduct seriously.”
