Bank Holiday Alert: RBI declared a bank holiday on Thursday, October 3rd on the occasion of of Shardiya Navratri and Maharaja Agrasen Jayanti.
This will affect all public and private sectors only in Rajasthan to stay close tomorrow as Navratri begins which is an important cultural event and especially celebrated by Hindus across India.
Shardiya Navratri is among the most celebrated festivals in India and is dedicated to Goddess Durga. Devotees believed that this symbolizes the victory of good over evil, this festival is celebrated for 9 nights.

On the other hand, Maharaja Agrasen Jayanti is also observed on the same day to honor Maharaja Agrasen who was the founder of the Agrawal community. This day is celebrated to spread the life and values of the great king Maharaja Agrasen.
RBI holiday announcement also reports that only banks in Rajasthan will remain closed while banks in other states and cities will continue their regular operations.
Though banks closed on the 2nd and 3rd of October and there will be no official services available to the customers, customers can only access online banking services.
