Ayushmann Khurrana Opens Up About Childhood Trauma: In a recent interview, Ayushmann Khurrana revealed details regarding his rigorous childhood, disclosing that his father used to punish him with chappals and belts quite often. He disclosed that such events have caused him some childhood emotional trauma.

Ayushmann’s father P. Khurana, a hallow celebrity in the Bahu region of North India, died last year; he too attracted desirability from the area due to his astrological knowledge and publications. Originating from the Punjab region, specifically Chandigarh, he made a great advance in the culture of astrology and became a learned man.

During the interview, the 'Dream Girl' actor Ayushmann Khurrana also talked about his early years and what to expect from him as a father, said, “I became a father in my 20s. In fact, Vicky Donor was released when I was already a father. It was very different. Both me and Tahira (Kashyap, filmmaker) evolved together because we were very young parents. The best part is that I have a daughter. You become a better person. Daughters teach you to be more empathetic.”

When asked if he was a different father as opposed to his own Ayushmann stated, "“I’m a completely different father. Mine was a dictator. Getting beaten with chappals, belts, etc… were par for the course, and of course, there was childhood trauma.... One day I was returning from a party, and my shirt smelled of cigarette smoke. Now, I never touched it (cigarette) because of the fear of my father. But I still got beaten up for it.”

The actor is wedded to Tahira Kashyap; the couple, who have known each other since their school days, were married in 2008. Together, they have two children: a son named Virajveer, who is ten years old and a daughter named Varushka, who is eight years old.

Last seen in ‘Dream Girl 2’ Ayushmann Khurrana has signed up for the horror-comedy universe of Maddock films in Thama where he will portray a vampire. The film, which also features Rashmika Mandanna, Paresh Rawal, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, is expected to hit the theatres over Diwali in 2025. The backdrop of his character was skipped in the ‘Stree 2’ most recently.

‘Thama’ has a story by Niren Bhatt, Suresh Mathew, and Arun Fulara while the direction has been taken over by Aditya Sarpotdar, Munjya’s director. This is as produced by ‘Stree 2’s director Amar Kaushik who gives the film the first ever vampire comedy in Maddock’s Supernatural Universe. This new film will add to the already existing ‘Stree’, ‘Stree 2’, ‘Munjya’ and ‘Bhediya’ franchises.
