Ankita Bhandari Murder Case: The 19-yr-old Receptionist's body was found today, 3 accused including Resort's Owner and BJP MLA's Son

In Uttarakhand's Pauri Garhwal, the resort of BJP leader's son accused in Ankita Bhandari murder case has been demolished. Ankita, 19, was the receptionist at his resort and was murdered by the accused for threatening to expose unethical activities there. On the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, a bulldozer was run on Pulkit's resort on Friday night. On Saturday, angry people also set fire to his factory built near the resort and vandalized the car of BJP MLA Renu Bisht in Rishikesh.

In the case of Ankita's murder, two of Pulkit's accomplices Ankit alias Pulkit Gupta and Saurabh Bhaskar have also been arrested. Pulkit Arya belongs to a high-profile political family. His father Vinod Arya is a BJP leader and has been a minister in the Uttarakhand government. He is also a member of the National Executive of BJP OBC Morcha and co-in-charge of UP. His brother Ankit Arya is the Deputy Chairman of Uttarakhand OBC Welfare Commission and has the status of Minister of State. This was the reason why CM Dhami had to intervene in the whole matter.

Ankita was missing from 18-19 September. After this, her father reached the resort and questioned the employees. When the daughter could not be traced, he filed a missing person report. A campaign was going on to find him on social media as well. Police questioned Pulkit on the basis of suspicion to which the accused confessed to pushing Ankita into the Ganges. After this, the rescue agencies recovered Ankita's body from a canal near Chilla Power House.

In Rishikesh, locals are protesting against BJP MLA Renu Bisht & vandalized her car as they agitated over Ankita Bhandari's murder case. The MLA was escorted away by Police after the matter.

Police on Friday produced Pulkit, Ankit, and Saurabh in court, from where all three have been sent to judicial custody for 14 days. After Ankita's body was found, the sections of murder and hiding evidence have been implemented on the accused. On Friday, the police sealed the resort after the matter came to light. After this, the local people also ransacked Pulkit Arya's resort.
