Anant Ambani’s Fitness Trainer Reveals High-Intensity Tabata Workout for Toned Arms in Less Time
Tabata training is a high-intensity workout that is known to deliver fast results. Celeb trainer Vinod Channa shares a quick arm workout to tone muscles and build strength.
High-intensity interval training remains one of the most potent methods of gaining strength and burning fat in less time. One of the many variations of Tabata training, it is characterized by short bursts of activity followed by longer breaks, which work to boost endurance, strength, and muscle tone in an efficient manner.
Celeb fitness trainer Vinod Channa breaks the secret of the method in his Instagram post dated 16 May and says that it helps in the fitness regime of Anant and Nita Ambani very well.
This Tabata arm toning workout is high intensity
“Toned Arms in Short Time? Possible… but only if you survive these deadly 4 minutes. This TABATA workout follows the classic 20 sec ON / 10 sec OFF rule with 4 intense exercises designed to fire up your arms, burn fat, and test your endurance at the same time,” Vinod wrote in his post.
He further added, “Sounds easy until the timer starts.”
Vinod says it is important to start the routine with a few simple things, a mat, a pair of dumbbells according to fitness level and last but not least, the spirit not to give up in the middle.
The workout is designed based on the Tabata principle, which is a series of 20 seconds of high-intensity exercise and 10 seconds of rest, repeated quickly to get the most out of a workout in the shortest amount of time.
The work/rest ratio is 20:10
In the demonstration video, the trainer starts by curling the hammer for 20 seconds, then pausing for 10 seconds. This will then be followed by crab walks for 20 seconds, with a short rest in between.

Then he progresses to elbow to the overhead presses for 20 seconds to build arm and shoulder strength followed by a 10 second rest. The last exercise in the circuit is the quadrupedal walk – this is again a 20 second exercise and involves several different groups of muscles to help achieve a greater stability in the upper body.
Why this workout works
The sequence is meant to keep the body constantly under stress and will not give enough time for the body to recover so this is a most efficient workout session to both burn fat and tone muscles. The Tabata-based arm workout is a testament to the fact that brief, targeted workouts can be quite effective, particularly if performed consistently and with good technique.
