The person who sent threatening mail to former cricketer and BJP MP Gautam Gambhir has been identified. A mail was sent to Gautam Gambhir from an account named Shahid Hameed, a resident of Pakistan. Some other people including MP Gautam Gambhir had received threatening mail in the name of terrorist organization. After which Delhi Police had sought information in this regard from Google. According to the information given by Google, a threatening mail has been sent to Gautam Gambhir from Pakistan.

According to the information given by Google to Delhi Police, a threatening mail to Gautam Gambhir has been sent from an account named Shahid Hameed of Pakistan. The IP address has also been found from Pakistan. The investigation of the case is with the Central District of Delhi Police. But many agencies including Delhi Police Special Cell are also keeping an eye on this matter.

Gautam had complained to the Delhi Police that he had been threatened with death in the name of ISIS Kashmir. After this, the security of his house was increased on Wednesday.

In a complaint sent to the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central), it was said that death threats were received from "ISIS Kashmir" on the official email id of Gautam Gambhir at around 9.32 pm on Tuesday, police officials said. Found. Officials said that the e-mail reads, "We will kill you and your family." In the complaint, Gautam Gambhir had urged to take cognizance of the matter, register an FIR and make adequate security arrangements.

On behalf of the special cell of the police, a letter was written to Google, asking for other related information including the operator of that email ID. Due to which the alleged threatening message was sent. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) Shweta Chauhan said that the complaint was lodged on Wednesday on behalf of Gambhir's personal secretary Gaurav Arora at Rajendra Nagar police station. After receiving the complaint, the district police has beefed up security outside Gambhir's personal security and his residence in Rajendra Nagar area. At present the police is probing the matter.
