Yogi Adityanath's government in Uttar Pradesh has made a big announcement regarding the registry of property. The government has waived the stamp duty on the registry in blood relations. That is, if any property is registered in blood relation, then stamp duty will not have to be paid on it. Yogi cabinet has passed it. Now property worth lakhs and crores can be transferred at the expense of only 6 thousand.
Earlier, up to 7 percent, stamp duty had to be paid. After this decision of the Yogi government, the registry will be done on a stamp of only five thousand rupees. Apart from this, the processing fee of only one thousand rupees will have to be paid.
According to the information, the Yogi government will bring parents, husband-wife, son, daughter, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, real brother, real sister, grandson, grandson, and grandson inside the family. Till now these people had to pay stamp duty.
For example, if the value of a property is 50 lakh rupees, then at least 4 lakh 20 thousand rupees had to be spent for its registry, but now with the new decision of the government, this work will be done in just 6 thousand rupees. That is, about Rs 4 lakh 14 thousand will be saved on the registry of property worth 50 lakhs. It is believed that this decision will also reduce property disputes.
The Yogi government has implemented this scheme as a pilot project. Initially, this scheme will be applicable for six months. Later, considering its response, it will be considered for taking it forward. Such a country scheme is already implemented in Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Madhya Pradesh.
